Ithaca Spring

We stepped out into Cayuga Heights in April, which requires coats for adults and blankets for babies in strollers. The sun was shining, and the wind was down, so it was a pleasant enough walk. Cayuga Heights must have been populated before the codes required sidewalks as we spent some time walking on the asphalt. In a large grassy area that came right up to the road, these very tiny irises spilled over each other and branched out in a wide irregular circle. I came back and laid down on the edge of the road to get eye-to-eye.
